Clair Law is currently the longest established legal practice in Walworth County. We have offices in Lake Geneva and Delavan and have been serving the surrounding area for over 50 years. Shortly after World War II, Mr. John H. Kenney (1908-1974) established a law office in Delavan, Wisconsin. In 1961, J. Edward Clair began practicing law in Chicago, Illinois. Eleven years later, J. Edward Clair joined with Mr. Kenney and the partnership of Kenney & Clair was formed, here in Walworth County. Thereafter, in 1978, the professional service corporation of Clair Law Offices, S.C. was established and the tradition of providing our community with quality legal services continued. In 2019, the firm simply became Clair Law
The partners at Clair Law provide the communities in southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois a high level of experience and professionalism. Edward F. Thompson began practicing law in Delavan in 1978 and joined the firm in 1984. Ed Thompson expends considerable effort in areas of real estate, foreclosure, riparian rights, commercial law, general litigation, probate, will- trust litigation, personal injury law and trials.
